As an adult, I’ve lived in two communities. In each, I devoted myself to my neighbors. With a heart for the vulnerable, I volunteered in churches, helped get homeless pregnant women off the streets and into loving homes where they received invaluable services, and opened my home to foster babies—two I had the unexpected blessing of adopting. And using my business skills, I worked with our local school districts to help parents gain needed services for their children with special needs, volunteered as treasurer of the Victor Valley chapter of the International Footprint Association, and served eight years as a Governing Board Member of the Adelanto Elementary School District.
During my first term on our City Council, I brought my caring, results-oriented perspective to the table. And it shows. Every decision I made for our city was rooted in the essential principle of balancing compassion with know-how and wisdom. Through my strong leadership and teamwork with fellow Council Members, our city is now on the verge of greatness despite the many challenges we had to tackle.
If elected, I will continue to be a responsible leader who listens to and works with you to move our city forward. You can count on me to continue delivering the outcomes we all want: a strong economy, safe neighborhoods, good jobs, greater educational and job-training opportunities, stronger relationships with our schools, and a healthy environment.
Through my leadership, Victorville will become a city that we can all take pride in.
